He Is My Only Child, Please Release Him - Mother Of Nigerian Singer, Gnewzy, Appeals To His Abductors (Video)

A video of the mother of upcoming singer, Goodnews Emuemu aka Gnewzy, tearfully pleading with his abductors to set him free has surfaced online.

TORI had earlier reported that Gnewzy was kidnapped in Ughelli, Delta state on Monday, April 29 after a performance. According to his record label, the singer's manager, Obas9ice who escaped unhurt, said the gunmen were dressed in police uniform.

His abductors have since contacted his record label and are demanding $200, 000 ransom for his release. The kidnappers threatened to send Gnewzy's severed head if his management involved the police or reduced the money sent in as ransom.

They stated that they would send a mail in five days with the location where the ransom would be deposited.

In an emotional-laden video, the distraught mother who couldn't hold back her tears, said the singer is an only child and should please be released.

‘’He is my only child. Please release him'' she wept as she had her hands on her head.
