The Lagos State government has commenced clearance operations after it uncovered another illegal settlement under the Osborne Bridge in Ikoyi.
The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this in a post on 'X' with videos.
He wrote,
“Another illegal settlement was discovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi. Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial (KAI) commenced immediate clearance operation.”
On Wednesday, May 1, TORI reported that the state government discovered 86 partitioned rooms beneath the Dolphin Estate Bridge in Ikoyi, Lagos Island. The occupants were reportedly paying an annual rent of N250,000.
