A rash guard is designed to be worn on the upper torso. It's normally made of spandex, nylon or polyester.

What is a rash guard? A rash guard is designed to be worn on the upper torso. It's normally made of spandex, nylon or polyester. with manufacturers making their own mixture of materials. A different mixture of materials will make the rash guard feel different with it being more stretchy, thicker, thinner more compressing depending on the mix of materials.

Minotaurfightstore - The rash guards come in long sleeves, short sleeves and also sleeveless. Some people prefer the long sleeve for the cold winter training and the short sleeve for the hot summer but that's your choice! If you're doing BJJ or if you wear a gi then it might be better to wear a long-sleeved rash guard to protect your arms from any rubbing from the gi. Designed to fit snugly and provide a compression effect, rash guards can also be known as compression tops. The rash guard is worn to protect the body from mat burns and helps wick away sweat from the body. It almost feels like you have a second skin and can move freely without having to worry about clothing getting in the way when you're training. In BJJ, wearing the gi can be rough on the skin if worn for a prolonged time.

Minotaurfightstore - Wearing a rash guard underneath helps stop the rubbing of the cotton gi on your body, which can become uncomfortable after a while. The compression effect of the rash guard can also have physical benefits with it helping to improve blood circulation, aiding in injury recovery and reducing muscle soreness. The rash guards are also breathable which allows for air circulation and keeps you cool when you're training hard.

The last aspect of rash guards is that they look super cool. Because the print process can be applied to the whole garment you can create super cool designs! It’s also very popular to get your rash guard customised so you can have your full design just for you but there are also thousands of designs and styles out there so it won't be difficult to find something that you like. Some gyms or users like to go for the clean and simple look but if you prefer it to be a crazy design with fire-breathing dragons that is also available. The rashguard is a piece of clothing that will definitely help you with your training and make it easier.

Minotaurfightstore - The main disciplines that would use a rash guard would be BJJ also known as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA also known as Mixed Martial Arts, Nogi, Wrestling and Muay Thai. I would say it's an essential item for jiu-jitsu as it will help with reducing friction burns and rashes from rubbing on your gi. Also for MMA and Nogi, it's a required piece of clothing. Some people do wear t-shirts as a substitute for a rash guard but that is not ideal as the t-shirt gets heavy when it's soaked with sweat making it harder to move around. Also, your training partners most likely do not want a sweaty t-shirt rubbing all over them as well! Wear a rashguard for yourself and your training partners!
