Videos of Trademore Estate located along the Lugbe-Airport Expressway in Abuja, affected by flood due to the heavy downpour have surfaced online.
According to the videos circulating via social media on Monday which revealed the situation of the estate, it was alleged that two individuals were swept away in the flood.
This is not the first time Trademore Estate has been submerged by flood.
In June 2023, flood overran the estate following hours of heavy rain, and no fewer than 100 houses were submerged.
Infractions on the water channel in the estate was said to have led to the flood.
Following the flood in 2023, the Federal Capital Territory Administration declared the estate a disaster zone, as the Federal Government also threatened to demolish the estate.
