Nasir Idris, the Governor of Kebbi State has decried the attitude of contractors handling the evacuation of drainages in the state.
Idris lamented that despite spending N100 million to clear a drainage, the refuse was not evacuated.
In a video, the governor expressed anger that the contractor left the drainage unattended after spending such a heavy amount.
Speaking in Hausa, “We spent N100 million to clear this drainage but this was left, it’s not free.”
The governor subsequently ordered the disposal of the refuse abandoned by the road side.
