Twenty-four suspects have been arrested for engaging in illegal activities in the Oshodi area of lagos State.
Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Lagos State, made the revelation on X, formerly Twitter.
He added that some of those arrested were caught robbing passersby.
They were arraigned in Court and sentenced to two weeks imprisonment.
He wrote: "24 miscreants arrested at Oshodi yesterday for robbing passerby and other illegal activities were arraigned and sentenced to 2 weeks imprisonment by the Mobile Court sitting at Oshodi.''
However, X users have asked why robbers should be given only a two-week sentence and they called for stiffer punishments.
