Video of Labour Leaders Arriving Aso Rock For Meeting With President Tinubu Over Minimum Wage

The Tripartite Committee on the new national minimum wage had recently submitted two figures to the President over the matter.

 
 
Labour leaders have finally arrived at the presidential villa for a meeting with President Bola Tinubu over the new minimum wage.
 
The labour leaders were led by Joe Ajaero of the Nigeria Labour Congress and Festus Osifo of the Trade Union Congress.
 
The meeting with the President, also had the Ministers of Labour, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Information, and National Orientation and others in attendance.
 
The Tripartite Committee on the new national minimum wage had recently submitted two figures to the President as the organized private sector and the government team had offered to pay N62,000, while the organized labour demanded N250,000.
 
Following the disagreement over the figure, the President delayed to send any figure to the National Assembly through an Executive Bill to opted consult with all the relevant stakeholders in order to resolve all the contentious issues.
