Uche Secondus, the former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said that Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has refused to bow to intimidation.
Reacting to the just concluded local government election in Rivers State, Secondus said Fubara has shown true leadership.
In a statement released by his media adviser, Ike Abonyi, on Wednesday, Secondus applauded Fubara for upholding democratic principles.
He said: “Governor Fubara has demonstrated true leadership by standing firm for democracy.
“His refusal to bow to intimidation is a testament to his commitment to his people and their future.”
The former PDP chairman also used the opportunity to urge President Bola Tinubu to work closely with Governor Fubara to protect the critical national assets located in Rivers State.
He stressed the importance of collaboration between the federal government and Rivers State, given its strategic economic significance.
