Demola Olarenwaju stated that Tinubu's visit was a show of shame.
Special Assistant on Digital Media Strategy to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Demola Olarenwaju has slammed President Bola Tinubu over his visit to Benue State.
He described the visit as a show of shame.
According to Olarenwaju, the All Progressives Congress, APC, will quickly want Nigerians to forget such a shame.
Tinubu had visited Benue State following a series of killings in the Yelewata area of the state.
About 200 people were killed during an attack by suspected herders a few days ago.
But the president’s visit to Benue State has been criticized by some Nigerians.
Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, said Tinubu turned the visit into a campaign, saying the president chose optics over empathy.
Reacting, Olarenwaju posted on X: “The show of shame in Benue yesterday is something the APC will quickly want us to forget, but we must not: that moment represents several depths of shame from APC.
“Skit-makers, comedians, opinion writers, public commentators, everyone must stay reminding Nigerians of this mess.”
