Final Burial Service Underway For Late Olubadan, Olakulehin (Photos)

The burial service for the late Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is currently taking place at the Cathedral of St. Peter's in Aremo, Ibadan.

The ceremony marks the final rites for the 43rd Olubadan, who passed away on July 7, 2025, two days after his 90th birthday.

Earlier today, all markets in Ibadan were directed to close for seven hours (5 am to 12 noon) as a mark of honor for the departed monarch. 

The final burial events followed a series of activities, including a lying-in-state and interfaith service at Mapo Hall yesterday.
