Posted by Thandiubani on Tue 16th Sep, 2025 - tori.ng

The incident has sparked public outrage and raised serious questions about law enforcement and women’s safety in India.

A 28-year-old woman, Nandini Parihar has been k!lled by her husband.

Parihar d!ed days after she raised alarm that her husband was threatening her life.

She was fat@lly shot by him in public over a party video.

The horrifying incident occurred near Roop Singh Stadium, one of Gwalior’s busiest areas.

The incident has sparked public outrage and raised serious questions about law enforcement and women’s safety in India.

The incident occurred around noon when Nandini, accompanied by two friends, was travelling in an auto-rickshaw after visiting the Superintendent of Police’s office to file yet another complaint against her abusive husband, Arvind Parihar.

Arvind, following her in a separate rickshaw, intercepted her near the stadium and opened fire with a pistol, shooting her five times at point-blank range.

Witnesses described the scene as terrifying, with traffic grinding to a halt and pedestrians fleeing in panic.

“I was just coming from court when I heard gunshots. I saw him fire three bullets, one after the other, right into her. People were frozen in fear nobody dared catch him,” said lawyer MP Singh, a witness.

After the murd£r, Arvind reportedly sat beside Nandini’s blood-soaked body, brandishing his pistol and daring anyone to approach. A tense standoff followed as police arrived on the scene. Arvind threatened officers with his firearm, forcing them to fire tear gas. He was eventually overpowered, beaten by officers, and arrested.

Despite efforts to save her, Nandini di£d two hours later at JAH Hospital.

Just last Tuesday, September 9, Nandini approached the SP office and told the media that her husband and his family were tormenting her.

She said, “My husband is using AI to make obscene photos and videos of me and upload them. He has a girlfriend, a wife, and a child. He even tried to k!ll me by running a car over me, and when I filed an FIR, he went to jail. After coming out, he started harassing me again, putting pressure on me to compromise. Whoever supports me, he abuses them as well. Nobody is listening to me.”

This wasn’t the first time Nandini had sought help. Records reveal she had filed at least six police complaints against Arvind since 2024. These included accusations of domestic abuse, attempted murd£r, and even cyber harassment using AI-generated pornographic content allegedly created and circulated by Arvind and his associate, Pooja Parihar.

Just days before her de@th, Nandini told the media outside the SP’s office, “He’s using AI to create obscene photos and sending them to my family. He has tried to k!ll me.”

Police sources say Arvind was enraged after seeing a Facebook video showing Nandini at a friend’s birthday party with Ankush Pathak, a man she was allegedly close to.

This, officials say, pushed him over the edge. On spotting Nandini with Ankush and her companion Kallu, Arvind executed his de@dly plan.

Police official Heena Khan confirmed, “A husband shot his wife de@d under the jurisdiction of the University Police Station. An FIR has been registered, and the accused has been arrested. The woman was taken to the hospital first, where she di£d after two hours. At present, the deceased was living separately from her husband and working in Delhi. She had come here with her companions, who are eyewitnesses and complainants in the FIR.”

Women's rights groups have condemned the incident, citing systemic police inaction despite repeated pleas for protection.

SP Dharamveer Singh confirmed six ongoing cases against Arvind, including attempted murd£r.

The weapon has been seized, and a murd£r case has been registered.
