Tension As Gunmen K!ll Police Divisional Crime Officer At Home In Niger State

The Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) of ‘A’ Division in Suleja, Niger State, has been k!lled.

He was reportedly murdered in his residence during an early morning attack on Sunday, heightening concerns about the escalating insecurity in Nigeria, according to SaharaReporters.

However, details surrounding the assailants and motive are still sketchy. 

The k!lling reflects a disturbing trend of escalating violence against security operatives in Niger State and across Nigeria. 

Earlier on Sunday, SaharaReporters reported that bandits launched another deadly attack in Ilafin community, Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, k!lling two police officers on duty.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday morning when the gunmen stormed a police checkpoint in the community.

A video obtained by SaharaReporters shows good Samaritans rushing to the scene to rescue the victims, though the officers’ lifeless bodies could be seen lying on the ground.
