Most Nigerian Politicians Believe Money Can Buy Them Popularity – Mahdi Shehu

 

Public affairs commentator, Mahdi Shehu has lashed out at Nigerian politicians.

 

According to him, they believe money can buy them popularity.

 

Shehu expressed his views in a post on X on Sunday, warning that such tactics have limits and often backfire.

 

He wrote, “Most politicians in Nigeria misdirect themselves that money can buy them popularity which they know themselves they do not have.”

Shehu added that many of them try to hide their criminal past, but “it is just a matter of time when the cat always comes out of the bag unannounced.”

 

He warned that those who use violence or threats to gain power may one day face the consequences.

 

 

Shehu also mocked their over-confidence, noting that all of them display their open ignorance when and where they all have a blind belief that eating blueberries will turn them blue.
