200-Level Student Of Sokoto University D!es Shortly After Giving Birth To Twins

The Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), is in mourning following the de@th of Aisha Umar Jaja, a 200-level Chemistry student.

Aisha passed away shortly after giving birth to twins on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Her funeral prayer was held on Tuesday, September 23, in Sokoto. 

The university alumni association confirmed the sad news in a statement posted on Facebook.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. It is on a sad note, we announce the passing of our dear sister Aisha Jaja, a 200 level Chemistry student.

"She returned to her Lord shortly after being blessed with twin babies. We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, grants her Jannatul Firdaus, and showers His mercy upon her.

"May He protect and bless the twin babies, and give the family and all of us the strength to bear this painful loss,” the statement read.
