A political support group called the Azerbaijan Movement in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos staged a 600-person solidarity walk to back President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
APC members, women leaders, youth and supporters marched through major streets in the area to build grassroots support for the party's candidates.
The procession started at Elliot, moved through key streets and ended at Nationwide.
The movement's coordinator said the walk was meant to show support for the APC and its candidates and demonstrate commitment to grassroots mobilisation before the 2027 elections.
He said the movement was particularly focused on rallying support for President Tinubu for the 2027 presidential race.
He described Tinubu as a leader whose policies are building the foundation for lasting development and urged residents to support his bid for another term.
The coordinator also backed Adewale Adedeji, the APC candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly election.
He said Adedeji had made an impact through educational, infrastructure and empowerment programmes in the constituency.
The coordinator urged APC members and supporters to stay united and step up mobilisation across the six wards in Ifako-Ijaiye before the elections, saying sustained grassroots work will be important.
