Matawalle Tells Muslim Women to Support Tinubu and Shettima in 2027

A government minister named Bello Matawalle asked Muslim women across Nigeria to support President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 election.

He said they should vote for this Muslim-Muslim ticket, which means both the president and vice president are Muslim.

Matawalle spoke at an event in Kaduna on Tuesday to a group of women. He said supporting a Muslim-Muslim ticket is a religious duty for Muslim women.

He said when you support Muslim leaders because of your religion and because you believe in Allah, your heart will be at peace knowing you did the right thing.

He told the women not to listen to people who criticize them for supporting the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

He said their choice is not about money or politics but about their religion.

He said anyone who criticizes them does not have a good answer because they are just following what their religion teaches them.

He said Muslim women should stand by their faith.

He said nobody can tell them they are wrong for voting for Muslim leaders when they are Muslim themselves.

He said they are doing it as Muslims, as children of Muslims and as grandchildren of Muslims, and this is correct.

He even told them that if they d!e while working to make sure this Muslim-Muslim ticket wins the election, they can be happy knowing they did it for their true beliefs.

At the same event, another man named Aminu Masari said in almost 40 years of being in politics, he has never seen a president with better plans than Tinubu.

Both men are working for Tinubu's 2027 election campaign.

They were put on the campaign team in August.
