The command spokesperson, ASP Eno Ikoedem, announced this on Wednesday while briefing journalists on the past week's work.

The child is back with the family and suspects have been arrested.

Operatives in Otuo Division also picked up seven suspected cult members in an intelligence-led operation.

Police also finished a one-week joint clearance operation across parts of Edo North to chase out criminals and destroy their forest hideouts.

Ikoedem said the areas stayed calm and no kidnapping was reported during the period.

Suspects linked to the stripping of a young girl and the sharing of the video on social media have been arrested around Ekiadolor and remain in custody.

Ikoedem urged residents to keep giving police credible and timely information.

She advised parents and young people to stay away from cultism and urged the public to use social media responsibly and not to humiliate, threaten, expose or sexually violate others.
