As Nigerian elite fly abroad for medical care, a man has expressed shock over the poor condition of hospitals which led to the death of his friend.

Chris died due to unavailability of oxygen in 5 hospitals

A young man identified as Chris has died as a result of unavailability of oxygen in 5 hospitals in Nigeria. His friends and family members have expressed shock how such a thing is possible in Nigeria representing the poor state of the health sector.

His friend, Ayo Atitebi who shared the sad news on Twitter, wrote: “Journey on, good Chris… Heaven rest your soul! This hurts… it hurts”.

He added: “So 5 hospitals didn’t have oxygen and we lost you, Chris! 5 goddamned hospitals! Loving this country is HARD!!! Nigeria sucks…”
