The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru, and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, have on Tuesday, met in Abuja..
According to Vanguard, the duo who met at the ongoing Nigerian Economic Summit at the Energy Policy Committee breakout session in Abuja, discussed opportunities in the Nigerian petroleum industry and how to improve the sector.
It was gathered that Baru arrived the venue first and when the Minister walked in few minutes later, the NNPC boss left his seat to where Kachiwu was and they both exchanged pleasantries.
Kachikwu also offered that he be represented at the second session of the dialogue by Baru, a request the organisers politely declined, because Baru was to chair a session and it would affect his participation.
Kachikwu, however, left before the end of the programme and Baru represented him.
