A federal high court judgement which disqualified the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate, David Lyon in the Bayelsa Governorship election scheduled for November 16 has been suspended by the Court of Appeal.
Recall that on Wednesday November 13, Justice Inyang Ekwo nullified Lyon’s nomination as the APC's Govenorship candidate and also stopped the party from fielding any other governorship or deputy governorship candidate for the poll.
On Thursday November 14, a federal high court in Yenagoa annulled the primary election which produced Lyon as APC's governorship candidate.
INEC was also ordered not to recognise any APC aspirant who partook in the primary.
However the Apppeal Court which was approached by the APC and David Lyon has ordered a stay of execution pending November 20 when the motion would be heard.
