The Senate has been described as a rubber stamp assembly after it overlooked petitions to confirm ex-service chiefs as ambassadors.

The Nigerian senate has been described as a department of the presidency and aso rock.
This was the submission made by former Senator representing the Kogi West Senatorial district, Senator Dino Melaye on Wednesday while slamming the Nigerian Senate for confirming the former service chiefs as non-career ambassadors-designate.
In a tweet on his official Twitter page on Wednesday, SDM alleged that the senate was working for the presidency.
“Confirmation of service chief: Shame on the Senate who just confirmed that the Nigerian Senate is a department of Aso Rock and the Presidency.
“Confirming those you recommended for sack more than once for gross incompetence as Ambassadors is a SHAME. SDM”, Dino Melaye tweeted.
