The Biafra Nations League, BNL has sent a threat to the Nigerian military.
This comes after the killing of Ikonso Don, the Commander of Indigenous People of Biafra's security arm The Eastern Security Network in Imo State.
BNL dared the army and other security agencies to launch similar operations against its members in the Bakassi Peninsula.
It said the Nigerian security operatives will “face consuming fire.”
Chief Head of Operations of BNL, Henry Edet, in a statement on Monday in reaction to the killing of the ESN commander and six others, said that “the Nigeria Securities will see something different if they touch any officer of the of the BNL especially in Bakassi Peninsula.”
DAILY POST reported at the weekend that Ikonso Don, commander of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, was confirmed killed by the military.
BNL said it condemned the actions of the military, adding that “the situation in the entire Eastern Region will worsen.”
The group, however, said that they “won’t attack securities unless they attack us”, adding that “members of [our] Militia wing already signed their death warrant and are not afraid of attacks from security agencies.”
