Buba Marwa, the Chairman and chief executive officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has urged senior officers of the agency to go after drug barons in the country.
Speaking during a ceremony to decorate newly promoted deputy commanders-general of narcotics and assistant commanders-general of narcotics, (ACGNs) on Thursday July 29 in Abuja, he said the new exercise will be part of the agency’s efforts to ensure that the nation’s anti-drug war succeeds.
Marwa Said;
“This war must be pursued relentlessly, the entire country mobilised and we must succeed.
“Therefore, I charge all the topmost officers of this agency to go all out and crush the drug scourge in every part of the country.”
Hinging the success the agency has recorded on the support President Buhari has given, he also disclosed that the Nigerian leader has approved payment of liabilities and entitlements owed to staff for years and also burial expenses due to families of deceased officers since 2015.
