Dada Olusegun, a former aspirant for the office of the national youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) paid a visit to the party’s national leader and Presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu.
Mr Olusegun withdrew from the race early Sunday with tears in his eyes during the party’s 2022 national convention held at Eagle Square, Abuja.
He was one of several aspirants who backed out of various positions with respect to the consensus arrangement of the party.
Olusegun withdrew in favour of Abdullahi Israel, 36, from the Lagos State chapter.
Olusegun’s team said in a tweet on Monday that the visit to Tinubu, who is aspiring to be Nigerian president in 2023, was part of his “post-convention consultations.”
He had tweeted after his withdrawal that the “party will always be supreme.”
Meanwhile, Rinsola Abiola, daughter of the late businessman and politician Moshood Abiola, was also among those who withdrew from the national youth leader race.
