Horror! Watch the Shocking Moment a Speeding Cyclist Got Crushed Between a Bus and Car on Busy Road

 

 

Horrifying footage of a cyclist being squashed between a bus and a car while making his way through traffic has sparked an online debate. The grainy footage shows the cyclist getting sandwiched and appears to have been captured by another cyclist on a helmet camera in London.

 

The cyclist in front of the video-maker can be seen riding in a bus lane before pulling into the lane of traffic and overtaking three cars. At this point everything appears to be going to plan as the cyclist approaches a bus in the road ahead and a car waiting to turn right at the junction.

 

As the cyclist gets nearer the traffic begins moving once more and the bus drives towards the car in front - causing the space between the two vehicles to narrow. The cyclist can then be seen attempting to squeeze through the small gap as pedestrians scream in anticipation of impact.

 

It is unsure from the distressing footage whether the cyclist was left hurt because two vehicles block the view - but since appearing online the footage has gone viral.

 

One viewer, who claimed to be a former bus driver, wrote: “I drove buses for five years. He was overtaking and the bus driver would not see him coming from that angle in mirrors or even a blind spot check.

The commenter added: “I do hope the cyclist is ok though”  Another agreed: “Silly riding, although I hope he isn't too badly hurt.”
