American business mandate and Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, was spotted on Tuesday, training with UFC champions, Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.
The photo which was shared online adds fuel to rumours of a potential cage match with Twitter boss, Elon Musk.
These speculations started from friendly online exchanges several weeks ago, but the recent launch of Zuckerberg’s Twitter-like app, Threads, has increased tension between the two tech leaders.
Launched on July 5, 2023, Threads has quickly gathered over 100 million users globally.
However, Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, criticized the app, suggesting it achieved success by “cheating.”
“Competition is fine, cheating is not,” Musk tweeted on July 7, 2023, in response to a post about a potential lawsuit against Meta by Twitter.
As the online debate over Threads intensified, the playful idea of a cage fight between the two CEOs resurfaced.
The recent photos of both Zuckerberg and Musk training with MMA fighters only added to the anticipation.
Zuckerberg, acknowledging his training session with UFC champions Adesanya and Volkanovski, posted, “It’s an honour to train with you guys!”
In response, Adesanya tweeted, “No Fugazi with Mark. This is Serious Business,” while Volkanovski added, “@zuck you’re a beast! Always great to catch up.”
Meanwhile, Musk seems to be preparing for the hypothetical showdown as well. He was spotted training with UFC legend Georges St-Pierre on July 3, 2023.
