Subsidy Palliative: Govt of Renewed Shege – Sowore Knocks FG

 

A former presidential candidate and human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has knocked the government of President Bola Tinubu.

 

In a Twitter post,  Sowore described Tinubu’s administration as a government of ‘renewed shege’.

 

His comment comes after Tinubu announced decision to provide palliative care to Nigerians for six month.

 

Tweeting, Sowore wrote: “The govt of #RenewedShege! So, @officialABAT is going to provide palliative of N53 per day for 6 months?

 

Tinubu had unveiled plans to transfer N8,000 to 12 million poor households in the country.

 

He said the money would be transferred to poor Nigeria within the next six months.

 

The president’s plan was contained in a letter to the House of Representatives over the 800 million dollars loan request of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for the social safety net programme.

 

He urged the House of Representatives to secure the loan.
