Eedris Abdulkareem
Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has condemned the decision of the Tinubu-led administration to pay the sum of N8,000 to 12 million Nigerian families for six months to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.
Recall that Tinubu had unveiled plans to transfer N8,000 to 12 million poor households in the country.
He said the money would be sent to poor Nigeria within the next six months.
The president’s plan was contained in a letter to the House of Representatives over the 800 million dollars loan requests of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for the social safety net program.
He urged the House of Representatives to approve the loan.
Reacting to the development, Eedris Abdulkareem via his Instagram page described the palliative plan as a scam.
According to the singer, Nigerians do not need handouts, rather they need productivity that will lead to prosperity.
He wrote: “Palliatives is a scam! Nigerians don''t need handouts, they need productivity that will lead to properity. Now you know.”
