Edo: Sowore Slams Governor Obaseki for Building Hotel, Ignoring Student’s Hostel

 

Omoyele Sowore has lambasted Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State for neglecting student hostel project and focusing on hotel.

 

Rights activist and convener of RevolutionNow called Obaseki a wicked person.

 

Sowore knocked Obaseki for building a 170-room “Edo Radisson Hotel” with assurance to complete the building by November and ignoring the construction of a 1,700-room hostel for students in the state throughout his 8-year tenure.

 

Obaseki, had, while inspecting the project on Tuesday, said: “A great amount of work has been done in the last three months, as the facial aspect of the hotel is being cleaned up and a lot of work is going on in all the floors.

 

Reacting, Sowore posted on X: “Here is Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, inspecting a 170-room “Edo Radisson Hotel” threatening that it must be completed by November 2024, makes me wonder why his likes never built a 1,700-room students’ hostel throughout his 8-year tenure looking precisely like these hotel rooms. Wicked People!”
