Three hoodlums have been arrested by tolice in Jigawa State.
They were nabbed over the alleged robbing of three bags of pepper and r*ping a housewife in Ringim Local Government Area.
Spokesman of the command DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident in a statement issued to DAILY POST.
He said the incident occurred on Sunday at about 0200hrs in Chori Village Ringim LGA when three unknown persons armed with cutlasses, trespassed into a house, attacked and robbed the husband of five bags of pepper, later one of the robbers r*ped his wife.
He said upon receipt of the report, detectives attached to Ringim Division swung, into action where one Abubakar Isah, 25years; Umar Ibrahim, 25yrs; and Umar Nasara, 30yrs, all of Chori village, Ringim LGA were arrested in connection with the crime.
DSP. Shiisu said on interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the crime and were immediately transferred to SCID Dutse for discreet investigation.
He said the suspects will be arraigned before the court after investigation.
