Residents Beat Two Cable Thieves To Pulp In Ibadan

Early Sunday morning, two individuals attempting to steal cables were apprehended and subjected to physical assault before being bound to electric poles in the Amuloko vicinity of Oyo State's Ona-Ara Local Government Area.

They were apprehended while conveying the vandalised electric cable with their motorcycle.

In a viral video obtained by on Sunday, the thieves were stripped n*ked, tied to the poles while the stolen cable was placed beside them.

PUNCH Online also observed that residents of the area were making jest of them.

According to one of them identified as Lekan, they came from Oremeji area of Ibadan to commit the crime.

Meanwhile, all efforts to get the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso’s reactions were proved abortive as his telephone number was not reachable.
