Reacting to the latest decision of the court, the group in a statement issued by its convener, Isah Jafar expressed disappointment in the conflicting judgement.
A recent judgement by the state High Court perpetually restraining Bayero and four other deposed Emirs from parading themselves as Emirs has been rejected.
The judgement was rejected by some stakeholders loyal to the dethroned Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado-Bayero known as the Kano Democratic Vanguard.
Recall that the High Court presided by Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu on Monday restricted Bayero and the dethroned Emirs of Bichi, Gaya, Rano, and Karaye from parading themselves as Emirs.
The ruling came barely three weeks after a Federal High Court in the state sacked the reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi.
Reacting to the latest decision of the court, the group in a statement issued by its convener, Isah Jafar expressed disappointment in the conflicting judgement.
The group described the ruling as “a shameful display of bias and a clear violation of justice”, accusing the state governor, Abba Yusuf of masterminding the court judgement.
“This judgement is another rascality in their quest for power and control. We call on the citizens of Kano to remain calm, as truth shall prevail.
“The judiciary has become the latest victim of Yusuf’s plot, following the destruction of Kano’s traditional institution.
“We urge the people of Kano to stand firm against this tyranny and fight for the restoration of their beloved Emirate”, the statement added.
