The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested some suspects in connection with the diversion of 1200 bags of rice meant for Katsina State.
The secret police asserted that these criminals also diverted at least 48 bags of rice kits.
The spokesperson for the DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya, shared this information during a press briefing today.
Furthermore, the DSS made significant arrests in July, targeting individuals engaged in various criminal activities such as oil theft, kidnapping, burglary, cultism, terrorism, and insurgency.
The security agency has also apprehended high-ranking terrorist leaders, logistic facilitators, gun runners, and individuals involved in the production of improvised explosive devices.
In addition to the arrests, the DSS operatives have seized a variety of weapons, including semi-automatic double barrel guns, cartridges, pump-action rifles, locally-made pistols, IED initiators, AK47 rifles, magazines, and batteries.
