Dele Momodu, who backed the ongoing EndBadGovernance movement, lamented that “Nigeria has never had it this bad”.
Dele Momodu, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has called out President Bola Tinubu.
The politician accused Tinubu of lying to Nigerians about the present state of the nation’s economy.
Speaking in an interview with Arise TV on Thursday, the PDP chieftain alleged that Tinubu’s aides who defend the administration in public, grumble behind their principal.
Dele Momodu, who backed the ongoing EndBadGovernance movement, lamented that “Nigeria has never had it this bad”.
He said, “Every Nigerian including President Bola Tinubu’s aides know that there is bad governance in Nigeria.
“They can’t say it in his presence but they grumble behind him. Tinubu is my friend. If anybody will deceive him, I will be the only person telling that he is surrounded by liars. Nigeria has never been this bad”.
The former presidential aspirant said he expected the president to have taken some steps in cutting down the cost of governance.
“I expect Tinubu to say “Today, I am merging some of these ministries” as long as you meet the constitutionally required number of ministries, cut off the rest.
“Number two is all these excess aides. Everyday, they are awarding appointments like popcorn. You can’t run Nigeria the way you ran Lagos State”.
