Two persons behind the gruesome killing of a popular caterer in Akure, the state capital, Olakunbi Adene, have been identified by detectives of the Ondo State Police Command.
The suspects were identified as the personal assistant and the driver of the deceased.
Adene was murdered in her residence along Oda Road, Akure South Local Government Area of the state, four days after her 54th birthday party.
According to the homicide detectives, the personal assistant who had been arrested confessed to the crime and had started assisting the police with useful information about the circumstances surrounding the killing.
It was gathered that the late caterer’s driver, who is currently on the run, provided the weapon used to hack her to death.
An investigation was said to have revealed that the personal assistant and driver allegedly conspired to kill her with the motive of obtaining the money she received during her birthday celebration.
