Bandits Reportedly Kill Two Soldiers In Zamfara

Two soldiers have been killed by bandits during an attack in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The gallant soldiers and the commander of the State Community Protection Guard, CPG, Isah Aliyu Zurmi, lost their lives in a gun duel with bandits while trying to protect the community.

Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Governor’s wife, Huriyya Dauda Lawal has sympathized with the families of the commander and soldiers.

A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant, SSA on Media and Communication to the office of the Governor’s wife, Zara’u Musa, described the deaths as inevitable, saying that the people paid the supreme price as heroes.

The First Lady prayed to Allah to give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

One of the soldiers killed in the state was identified as Fawwaz Jibrilu.
