Mob Reportedly Cut Off Finger Of Truck Pusher Over False Allegations Of Theft

The finger and nails of a wheelbarrow pusher, Abubakar Yusuf, were reportedly cut off by an irate mob after a woman falsely accused him of stealing her four hundred thousand naira, ₦400,000.

According to Dailypost, the incident happened in Sapele, Delta State on Thursday.

The mob beat the accused suspect to a stupor and poured fuel on him in an attempt to set him ablaze before the woman’s relative confessed that she stole and hid the missing money.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe is yet to respond to a text message sent to him to confirm the report.

Meanwhile, Rights Activist, Israel Joe has called on the Delta State Police Command to ensure that the wheelbarrow pusher gets justice.

He insisted that the woman must be arrested for raising a false alarm, wrongfully accusing an innocent person and nearly costing him his life.
