Residents of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, have gathered at the State Secretariat in Agodi to protest the demolition of their homes.
According to reports gathered, several houses have been demolished due to the ongoing construction of the Ibadan circular road.
Several residents became stranded when the government began the demolition of the houses that were built against the master plan of the state.
Those affected have since stormed the state secretariat to protest against the demolition.
The stranded residents could be seen with placards brandished with various inscriptions like: "We are begging Governor Seyi Makinde to save the remaining houses in Molarere community Moniya, Ibadan. Pls don't take 5OMM ICR setback anymore.", "Oyagaga community, soro soke. Cancel 500m circular road corridor," amongst other inscriptions.
