These are photos of the Minister for Information and culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed and others at the just concluded National tourism summit. The summit which came to a close on Friday was themed ‘Repositioning Culture and Tourism in a Diversified Economy’
The purpose of the summit is to mainstream Culture and Tourism as an important and integral part of the economic development strategies of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to salvage the economic woes of Nigeria. Labour Minister, Chris Ngige was also in attendance at the successful event.
Speaking at the close of the summit, Minister Lai Mohammed said;
“All the materials, papers presented in the course of the summit will be submitted to a committee that would look into them and see how the ideas can be harnessed. The committee will be given four weeks to take these literatures and see how we can make the recommendations implementable.
"After that, we will call a meeting with stakeholders from tourism, culture, entertainment and others to strategise how those ideas can be implemented,”
