A new report by US Weekly says Kanye West and Kim Kardashian underwent an IVF gender-selection procedure to predetermine baby number 2's sex.
It is no longer news that celebrity couple, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian popularly called 'Kimye' are going to have a boy.
What is however news and unsurprisingly so, is a latest report by US Weekly magazine alleging that the now-pregnant 34-year-old reality TV star and her rapper husband underwent an IVF gender-selection process to predetermine their second baby's sex.
A source close to Kardashian told the magazine, "She only had boy embryos implanted". The magazine further states that during the procedure — which can start at roughly $17,000 — doctors isolate fertilized embryos of the preferred sex in a lab, then transfer them to a uterus.
Another source said while Kanye is crazy about his first child, a girl - Nori - he wanted a male child, an heir.
"Kanye and Kim are so excited to complete their family", the source says, adding that "Kanye loves Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete, he wanted a little boy, an heir".
