Delta Police PRO Reacts to Trending Video of Police Officer Assaulting Lady Over ''Indecent Dressing''

 

The Delta State Police Command spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe has broken his silence after a viral video of a police officer harassing a woman went viral.

 

It was gathered that the officer attempted to arrest the lady for wearing indecent clothing.

 

The officer is seen pushing the woman, who is dressed in a black top and white shorts, into a police van. Given that the command had declared plans to start arresting people who are dressed indecently, some Nigerians thought the officer was arresting the lady for indecent clothing. 

 

The video also shows the woman's friend, who was in a shirt and shorts, attempting to prevent the officer from making the arrest.

 

Edafe responded via his X handle, claiming that the woman was not arrested for wearing indecent clothing because there was no evidence of this in the video.
