Benue State governor, Hyacinth Alia has announced the appointment of eight new commissioners.
This comes after he submitted a list of eight commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The names were forwarded days after the governor dissolved the previous executive council, leaving only the office of the Chief of Staff, which is now held by Moses Atagher, the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
The fresh nominations are part of a plan to reconstitute the state cabinet.
A second list of nominees is expected to follow soon.
The first batch of nominees includes Theresa Odachi Ikwue, Benjamin Ashaver, Adamu Margaret Ijaguwa, Peter Oboh Egbodo, Yangien Timothy Ornguga, Denis Iyaighgba, James Dwem, and Paul Ejeh Ogwuche.
