Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has announced a support package for Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger recently released from Kirikiri Prison.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Ossai said he had secured a job in Delta State for Emmanson with a monthly salary of N500,000.

The governor’s aide also promised to bankroll an all-expenses-paid trip to the state, including flight tickets, a five-star hotel stay, guided tours, and a ticket to the Delta Social Media Summit slated for August 28 in Asaba.

“I’m offering Comfort Emmanson a complimentary trip to Delta State, known as the Big Heart and Home of Global Tourism Hub. Additionally, a job opportunity with a monthly salary of N500,000 has been secured for her,”
Ossai wrote.

“All expenses, including flight tickets, accommodation in a five-star hotel, and tour costs, will be fully covered,”
he added.

According to him, the offer is meant to help Emmanson “unwind” after her prison ordeal.

“I’d like to extend an invitation for her to visit Delta State and relax after her release from Kirikiri prison. She won’t be disappointed as I will be giving her a good time,”
he said.

Ossai urged anyone in contact with Emmanson to tell her to send him a direct message on Instagram to claim the offer.

Miss Emmanson had broken her silence, saying she was in pain after her release from prison, where she was held over allegations of unruly behaviour and assaulting a flight crew on an Ibom Air aircraft.

She made the statement on Wednesday via her Instagram handle, shortly after an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court struck out the case against her.

“Thank you so much for all the Prayers, Love, and support, I've been released from the Prison, but I'm still in pains due to how i was treated,”
she wrote.

“I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event. Thank you so much my Lovely Friends and Supporters. I really appreciate y'all from the button of my heart. God bless y'all. THANK YOU MY GREAT GOD!!!”

Emmanson was arrested on August 10, 2025, after an altercation on an Ibom Air flight. She was accused of refusing to switch off her mobile phone before take-off and later assaulting the purser.

She was arraigned the following day on a five-count charge and remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility after being granted bail, pending the fulfillment of her bail conditions.

The case attracted nationwide attention after viral videos showed her assaulting an air hostess while being blocked from leaving the aircraft and, in another clip, being exposed while being dragged by airport security.

Presiding Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami dismissed the charges following an application by the police prosecution team to withdraw the matter.

Aviation minister Festus Keyamo condemned the release of the footage and vowed sanctions against those responsible.

Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu described the handling of the case as “selective justice,” while Lagos-based lawyer Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya called for transparency and adherence to due process.

The aviation minister later confirmed that all criminal complaints against Emmanson had been withdrawn and Ibom Air’s lifetime flying ban on her had been lifted.
