2027: He’s A Nice Guy – Datti Baba-Ahmed Speaks On Working With Rotimi Amaechi

Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, has described ex-Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi as a “good guy.”

Baba-Ahmed made the remark on Friday while fielding questions on Channels TV’s Politics Today programme, during discussions on the coalition formed on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

According to the Kaduna-born politician, who had earlier dismissed the coalition by the opposition on the ADC platform, he would consider working with Amaechi, aside from Mr Peter Obi, for the 2027 general election.

“Rotimi Amaechi is a good guy. He is one of those I can adopt,” Datti Baba-Ahmed said.

The ADC coalition is being championed by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Mr Peter Obi, among others.

However, Datti clarified that he was not prepared to work with them on the ADC platform.
