Trailer K!lls Woman Returning From Farm in FCT

 

Ramatu, a middle-aged woman has been k!lled while riding a motorcycle back from her farm in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). 

 

It was gathered that the incident happened around 5:12 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 near the Con Oil filling station. 

 

According to DailyTrust, an eyewitness stated that the driver of a trailer coming from the Lokoja axis was trying to avoid a pothole when he lost control, adding that in the process, the trailer crushed the woman, k!lling her and injured the motorcycle rider.

 

The witness added that the woman was taken to a hospital where doctors confirmed her d3ad, while the injured cyclist is currently receiving treatment.

 

An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who was part of the rescue, confirmed the incident, stating that the woman was rescued alive but d!ed while receiving treatment at the hospital.

 

He said the trailer driver, who had initially fled the scene, was later apprehended near Gada Buyi village along the highway and handed over to the police.

 

The driver has since been detained and an investigation is underway.
