I Believe In Defending The Vulnerable - Nigerian-American Anglican Bishop Shares Photos Of Him Shooting Gun After M8rder Of Kaduna Priest

Rt. Rev. Dr. Felix Orji, the Nigerian-born American Anglican Bishop, has shared photos of himself training at a shooting range.

The Bishop of Anglican Diocese Of All Nations, Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) in Houston, Texas, shared the photos in a Facebook post on Friday, November 28, 2025 after condemning the abduction and m8rder of Kaduna Anglican priest, Ven. Edwin Achi. 

“I believe in defending the vulnerable as well as myself.

"We have a responsibility to defend our families,” he captioned the post. 

Responding to criticisms over shooting a gun, the Bishop added: “Would you defend your family if someone wants to k!ll them or would you just let them do it while you watch?

"I suppose you do not believe countries should have Police and Military Forces to defend the people when they are in danger from terrorists and other murderous miscreants in society.”

In 2022, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, suspended Orji as the Coordinating Bishop of the Church of Nigeria North America Mission (CONNAM) and Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the West after he left his mission to join Anglican Diocese Of All Nations, Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).
