African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Dele Momodu has criticized political economist Prof. Pat Utomi over his remarks on the political future of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
In a post on his official X handle on Friday, Momodu, faulted Utomi’s recent comments after Obi’s defection to the ADC.
Recall that Utomi had in a Channels Television interview on Thursday, warned that he would withdraw his support for Obi if he accepted the position of vice-presidential candidate in the emerging opposition coalition.
However, Momodu said he was taken aback by Utomi’s stance, insisting that anyone who rules out the possibility of Obi serving as a running mate does not believe in democratic choice.
“Anyone insisting that Obi cannot run behind anyone is definitely not a Democrat who wishes to rescue Nigeria from a one man dictatorship,” Momodu wrote.
