Nigerian Community in Canada Mourns Loss of Business Leader Maryam Muritala

The Nigerian community in Canada is mourning the loss of lawyer and businesswoman Maryam Muritala.

She founded and led Canada Vendors, a business development and advertising company.

News of Muritala's death came out on Monday, prompting tributes from members of the Nigerian community in Canada and various organisations.

Before her death, Muritala worked as Public Relations Director for the Nigerian Canadian Council, where she led business-focused initiatives through the Canada Business Forum, Brand Expo and Entrepreneur Award programmes.

Her company, Canada Vendors, helped over 10,000 businesses in Canada and the diaspora.

The platform offered digital marketing services and helped businesses organise and expand their operations.
