Police Arrest Man With Bags of Hard Drugs in Abia

Police in Abia State arrested a 49-year-old man named Prince Chukwudi Eguzouwa on September 18th.

He is from a place called Ahiabubi in Isiala Ngwa North area of Abia State.

Police say he was a dr*g dealer who sold bad substances.

When police raided his house, they found many bags filled with substances they believe were Cannabis, a type called "Scottish Loud," methamphetamine, cocaine and other hard dr*gs.

The police came looking for him based on information they got that he was selling these dangerous things to people in the community.

The raid was done by two police units the Violent Response Unit and the Anti-Cultism Unit.

They worked together to search his home.

The police operation happened as part of the Police Commissioner's plan to use smart policing methods to catch criminals.

The Commissioner of Police for Abia, named CP Wilfred Afolabi, wanted the police to use information they gathered to catch bad people.

After they caught Eguzouwa with all those dr*gs, the police investigated him.

On September 22nd, they took him to court.

The judge sent him to a correctional facility, which is like a prison, while the case continues.

The Police Commissioner said the police in Abia will continue catching criminals this way.

He warned that criminals will not be safe in Abia State anymore because the police are coming for them.
