Soldiers Arrest Nine Suspected Drug Dealers in Yobe

Soldiers from the Nigerian Army's 27 Task Force Brigade arrested nine men suspected of selling drgs in Buni Yadi, Yobe State.

The arrest happened on September 19th, 2026, during an operation to stop t£rrorists from getting illegal drgs.

The nine men arrested were given to the National Drg Law Enforcement Agency, which is the organization that handles drg crimes in Nigeria, on Tuesday.

A major in the Army said the operation was part of the Army's plan to stop t£rrorist activities.

He said the Army wants to cut off the supply of illegal drgs to t£rrorists and criminals.

He said stopping drg dealing also helps stop other criminal activities that can cause violence and make the country less safe.

The nine men arrested were Hassan Ibrahim, Ahmed Mohammed Shuwa, Adam Jibril Jakadi, Musa Aga, Mohammed Mohammed, Isa Adamu, Usman Salisu, Mohammed Abiso and Buba Kambari.

When the soldiers arrested them, they found many kinds of illegal drgs.

They recovered cannabis sativa, tramadol, codeine, soak and die, master patch and other illegal drgs.

An official from the drg enforcement agency said the handover of the suspects shows that the Army and the drg agency are working together well.

He said the agency will test the dr*gs and take the men to court to be punished according to the law.

The official also told young people to stop using drgs.

He said drgs only destroy people's lives.

He asked young people to find jobs in farming and other good businesses instead of wasting their youth using dr*gs.
